Virgina GOP Head Compares Obama to Bin Laden
If the McCain campaign can’t control their own party, how are they expected to show leadership over the country? After admonishing their own crowds of supporters to tone down the hostility (and getting booed in the process), now prominent McCain supporters have stepped up the incindiary attacks.
According to Time Magazine, Virginia GOP chairman, Del. Jeffrey M. Frederick told Virginia volunteers that Obama and bin Laden “both have friends that bombed the Pentagon.” He went with an additional rant about Obama.
The McCain campaign later said the comments were “not appropriate.” That’s a real profile in courgage by the campaign. Something tells me the old McCain from the 2000 campagin would have pulled the plug on these hateful people and hateful comments the moment he first heard them.
