“A changing environment will affect Alaska more than any other state, because of our location,” she told a reporter. “I’m not one though who would attribute it to being man-made.”

Gee Gov. Palin, what then would you say is causing global warming?  Maybe it’s all the gunfire aimed at wildlife in your state, since you’ve lifted so many restrictions on hunting.

I’m so happy I live in ohio and my vote counts so I can help get this radical zealot off the national stage.

She is suing to have polar bear removed from the endangered species listing because it will interfere with oil and gas development. Check out this site from the Anchorage Daily News. Not all of her constituents are as thrilled as we have been lead to believe.

MRS J: Don’t you want LOWER gas prices Mrs. J, or are one one of those electric car driving liberals who think they are better than everyone else?

Mrs J Said:

Of course I want lower gas prices. I am not totally opposed to off shore drilling. However, it is only a “bandaid” and not a permanent solution. We have to explore other energy sources.

The environmental risk in the Alaskan refuge is simply too great and the result would be too small. Oil industry advocates are right to say that drilling technology has reduced the size of the drilling footprint and the environmental risk can be managed, as Texans who live with offshore drilling and production know. Yet there still remains an environmental risk, too much for a pristine Alaskan wilderness where even the most optimistic assessment by the energy information agency says that refuge oil would cut one to four cents off the price of gasoline. OPEC could offset that by lowering production.
