If you were in New York for the 2004 Republican National Convention, then you remember the massive protests that took over the City. That same year, in Boston for the Democratic Convention, there were only a handful of protesters present. In fact, on Thursday night, when John Kerry accepted his nomination, the protest zone was completely empty, minus two tourists who ventured inside it.

It seems that will also be the case at the 2008 Conventions. While huge protests are expected at the Republican gathering, minor protests are anticipated for the Democratic Convention. Perhaps the biggest protests will come from inside the convention hall as Clinton supporters are still upset that she was not selected, or even vetted, for the VP slot.
