“Palin Pandemonium” in Nevada

By 8AM a line had formed.  The show wasn’t set to start until 5pm, 9 hours later.  Was it Springsteen?  Nope.  But the new ‘Boss’ of the GOP was making her first solo appearance.  Yes, even without John McCain and Co. present, Gov. Sarah Palin proved that she can carry a crowd solo.

According to Salon.com, “at her first solo campaign stop in the lower 48 as the GOP’s vice-presidential candidate, Sarah Palin compared breaking the glass ceiling to breaking the sound barrier, while Chuck Yeager looked on with approval. To the handful of curious Democrats in the crowd, it may have seemed like they had fallen through the looking glass into a place where Palin can do no wrong.”  We know Yeager has the right stuff, and clearly to the GOP base, so does Palin.

While Palin was blowing the roof off at the campaign rally in Carson City, Nevada, Karl Rove made news today as well.  Rove, the architect of the Bush victories (ok, the sorta victories), said the McCain attacks against Obama were going too far.

it really makes me wonder about the intelligence of republicans, waiting in line for 9 hours. all anyone would have to do is listen to ms palins speaches over the past 2 weeks, they have not changed 1 iota. ms palin is a person of very little substance and she is attempting to parlay her meagre qualifications into a shot at the vice presidency. this shallow performance “wows” the republicans, but very few else.

This is a very funny post because the thought is that Palin is riding the coattails of McCain with the new found large audiences, when in fact it is McCain riding on Palin. The Republicans know that, especially the McCain team, hence why McCain will never be without her.

Who is the real celebrity now with no substance? Hmmmm? Oh, yeah, Palin!

I guess people think this is an Obama/Palin ticket. They seem to think she is not the one running for President.

Well I was there — yes as a protestor… but seriously folks… there were NOT 10,000 people there. Yes there were a lot of people! My estimate would be about 4000 and many of us recognized our ( dem or lib) friends who whispered they were there for historical value… which…I can actually understand… especially when I realized just how backwater the people in this town are.. You better believe it! I felt like I was in a time warp– I heard words I thought were not spoken anymore… My life and well being was threatened several times, but the weirdest part about all of it …
was that I could not get an intelligent reply out of any of them. I was either told to shut up my ***ger loving mouth or just threatened… how silly. — but then again.. this is what is being taught to them… if you dont like something use violence to stop it.

I still challenge Sarah Palin to a PUBLIC open FORUM where she has to answer our questions ON THE SPOT!!!

how about them apples.

She is good for the Alaska and she won’t be good for this great nation as GOP VP. McSame is out of cynical and he picks someone that is total not in his value and use this hockey woman to get him to the white house. I am going to vote for the Obama now!

You are just a complete Liar. That’s all there is to it. You are also an ignorant Bigot. You label an entire area as “backwater”… sounds like you are quite prejudiced

Indy…Everyone knows that McCain had fallen behind Obama and unable to catch up. Imagine a Senator with 27 years of experience not being able to catch up to Obama? Tossing a woman into the fray was his way of grabbing the Hillary voters and the Evangelin’s.

Why he would offer VP to a person he had met one time is very poor judgement on his part. (especially at his age) All this stuff is surfacing now about her and McCain has some egg on his face. She is not even allowed to talk to reporters and if you notice, every speech of hers is read from script. The one time she was on her own, the Charlie Gibson interview, she failed miserably.

I took journalism, I was a cheerleader and my sister is mentally disabled. I should have been picked for Vice?
