Palin: “If Pledge Of Allegiance Was Good Enough For Founding Fathers, It’s Good Enough For Me”

Here’s McCain’s selection for the Vice Presidency of the United States, Sarah Palin, answering a 2006 policy questionnaire:

Q: Are you offended by the phrase “Under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance? Why or why not?

PALIN: Not on your life. If it was good enough for the founding fathers, its good enough for me and I’ll fight in defense of our Pledge of Allegiance.

So what’s the problem with that? Well, the Founding Fathers did not recite the Pledge of Allegiance. It was first written in 1906 and wasn’t our official pledge until 1942 (when John McCain was 6 years old).

No wonder the Bush crowd likes her, she speaks like he does.

GASP~!

Well I guess we’d better stone this woman in the town square eh?

BIG DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No one cares. You are grasping desperately at straws.

It’s not like she spent 20 years in a RACIST hateful church or with his extremist criminal friend Bill Ayers who said ‘NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE DIED’ in his attack.

Now there’s something to compare.

She also said that the Iraq war is a “plan from God.” Not knowing when the Pledge was drafted may not be scary, but most of what this woman stands for is.
