During her interview with Brian Williams this week, Sarah Palin went to great lengths not to categorize abortion clinic bombers as terrorists.  Williams asked Palin a pretty straightforward question, but of course we know how tricky the elite media can be, so Palin became very gaurded with her answer, which is a way of saying she didn’t directly answer the question posed to her (nothing new there).

Q: Is an abortion clinic bomber a terrorist, under this definition, governor?

PALIN: (Sigh). There’s no question that Bill Ayers via his own admittance was one who sought to destroy our U.S. Capitol and our Pentagon. That is a domestic terrorist. There’s no question there. Now, others who would want to engage in harming innocent Americans or facilities that uh, it would be unacceptable. I don’t know if you’re going to use the word terrorist there.

The Huffington Post points out that by Palin’s definition of ‘terrorist’ Mohammad Atta wouldn’t fall into this category since he did not attack either the Capitol or the Pentagon.  Blogflict is willing to give Palin the benefit of the doubt on that one.  Really this is another example of her ultra-right wing ideology.  Palin can’t even bring herself to call a person who would bomb a building and kill other Americans a terrorist, because that person is also an anti-abortionist.  I’m sure that is very comforting to the families of those who have lost loved-ones in such bombings.
