The New York Times put Nigeria on Page 1, which we applaud. The media needs to pay more attention to developments across Africa.

In the article, the Times explores the efforts by the Federal Nigerian government to crackdown on Hisbah and other religious militias that as recently as a year ago, brutalized many in the country.

My country Nigeria is committed to transfromational leadership, where leadership is understood as listening, speaking and acting in where that mobilzes self and others to take actions to realise dreams, vissions and possibilities. Although we need support in other areas as in fighting poverty within ourselves as nigerian and from others, thus the role of the media can not be overempasize.

    Welcome to the new Nigeria

    Peace
