Media Flips Out on Palin
Clearly, the Mccain camp is petrified over what Palin could say to the media. So even on a day when she meeting with world leaders, they attempted to ban reporters from the meeting. CNN balked and pulled their cameras out until the campaign relented and allowed a producer inside.
So what did reporters get out of the meeting? A discussion about Karzai’s children:
“What is his name?” Ms. Palin was heard to ask, as she met with Mr. Karzai in the suite of a midtown hotel, according to a pool report.
“Mirwais,” Mr. Karzai replied. “Mirwais, which means, ‘The Light of the House.’”
“Oh nice,” Palin responded.
“He is the only one we have,” Mr. Karzai said.
Then the pool of journalists was escorted out, and the meeting began.
The pool was allowed in for 29 seconds.
Here’s how the NY Times saw it unfold:
“Ms. Palin, the Republican vice-presidential nominee, is scheduled to meet Tuesday in New York with President Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan, President Alvaro Uribe of Colombia, and former Secretary of State Henry A. Kissinger.
But the McCain-Palin campaign’s sharp limitations on coverage of the meetings have sparked a mini-revolt – and a threatened boycott — among the press corps.
The campaign plans to bar print reporters from the meetings, and to limit coverage to brief photo-ops for a still photographer and a television camera. The television stations, though, are objecting, noting that they have a policy of not sending cameras to cover events without a producer, who provided editorial guidance.”

Biden may make many gaffs but at least you can talk to him. How dare the media say anything bad about Biden. Palin is getting away with murder and people are being “respectful” of her womanhood. This woman is in line to perhaps be president of the United States! Having dominion over the lives of my children and grandchildren. It is too big a job to give to just anyone.
Comment made on September 23rd, 2008 at 10:52 pmThe media should stop covering Palin completely. If she is not going to talk to the media, then don’t cover a single one of her events. She obviously is too ignorant to be able to answer intelligent questions so just ignore her. She is a nobody anyway and most women find her an insult and an incompetent fool. STOP giving ANY press!
Comment made on September 24th, 2008 at 12:41 amI doubt if McBarbie had anything of substance to say. She is such a lightweight that I am sure it is a refreshing break for world leaders to get time to talk fluff.
Thank you McBarbie for being such a generous, though vapid, host.
Comment made on September 24th, 2008 at 12:44 amGet rid of her! She and her redneck husband will make love (yech!) while Washington burns, like good old Nero.
Comment made on September 24th, 2008 at 12:51 amAfter the Gibson interview, if Palin never talks to the press again, it’s okay with me. I can find much better sources of information than from a press that is campaigning for the Democrat ticket.
I can find actual facts on which to base my opinion. Today’s press may think they have the only opinions that matter, but they are wrong.
Comment made on September 24th, 2008 at 2:10 amCNN experts manipulators they hightlight the “trooppergate” bull and almost inperceptible refer to mrs.Palin meetings with some world’s leaders.
The surprise is to come to this, N.Y.Times, Washington Post, Times, NBC, etc on November 4 when they will be comfronted with the DEFEAT of the candidates that the extreme Left agenda have chosen to install in the White House
HONOR: George Washington and Alexandeer Hamilton, the true patriots that meant the CHANGE in América.
VOTE: McCain/Palin

Comment made on September 24th, 2008 at 1:35 pmFor all McCain’s bluster about accountability and transparency, he obviously means that doesn’t apply to him or his campaign.
