Frazer, the Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs said today that “ethnic cleansing” is underway in Kenya, but that the level of violence does not rise to be classified as ‘genocide.’ However, you may have a hard time convincing that to the people who live in the Rift Valley.   There, mobs armed with poison tipped swords, machetes, knives, and bows and arrows roam the streets looking for victims.  Frazer said the United States is reviewing its aid to Kenya in light of the political turmoil there.
