Hedge Funds and Greenhouse Gases

Much of the talk on hedge funds this year has been on the losses they have incurred from the sub-prime mortgage collapse.  But here’s an interesting story from Reuters, on the new bets funds are making on greenhouse gas emissions.  As representatives from 190 nations gather in Bali to decide on what should follow Kyoto, financiers are making bets that there is money to be made from the climate talks.

There would be a lot more money made if the US would sign any of these climate control agreements.
