Do We Look That Stupid?
The Republican ticket is in trouble. The clock is now becoming an issue. The swing states are all breaking for Obama, the independent voters are breaking for Obama, the young first-time voters are breaking for Obama. So what do you do when you are behind? Do you talk more about your own positions, hoping the information will swing voters? You could, if you thought that might move votes. Clearly the McCain campaign doesn’t have that kind of confidence in its positions. Instead, they chose to go the other way - swiftboat style - and recklessly attack Obama.
McCain gets his Hockey Mom/pitbull to claim McCain pals around with domestic terrorists while glibly referencing the New York Times. For the record, while Bill Ayers was involved in his illegal actions, Obama was 8 years old, a point that democrat Rahm Emanuel picked up on. “If we are going to go down this road, you know, Barack Obama was eight years old, somehow responsible for Bill Ayers,” he said. “At 58, John McCain was associating with Charles Keating.”
Obama won’t tolerate being swift boated and today he hit back. Good for him. This disgraceful, pathetic attack line by McCain and Palin has no business in our politics today. If McCain wants to raise this issue on Tuesday night at at the debate he better be ready for a fight. The Obama camp seems ready to repel any swift boat moves by the sleazy, desperate McCain operation.
Swift boating is so 2004.

Joe, thanks for proving the point of how dumb you republicans can be. again, rather than debate the issues you talk about Obama’s birth certificate. Get a life you loser.

That has completely disintegrated in the past two months as he shows his true colors, and win at all cost tactics. His selection of Sarah Palin as a running mate, and now allowing these ridiculous shots at Obama instead of focusing on the issues just takes him down another step.
