Congressman to Address Virtual Bali Conference

Since he couldn’t make it in person to Bali, US Congressman Edward Markey is trying something new. He is going to address the conference not in “RL” but in “SL” - meaning not in real life, but in Second Life. The online 3-D virtual community will be the digital platform for Markey to deliver his speech. Computer technicians created an avatar that looks identical to Markey. Maybe he will have more luck shifting the US position in second life, since in real life it has thus far proven to be unmovable and unresponsive to reason, logic and science.

That’s pretty cool. And he didn’t use any Co2 to do it either.
